The Muslim community is working hard to build a mosque in Germantown. This mosque, Insha'Allah, will provide a place to perform day to day ibada, create an Islamic atmosphere, and home for the younger generation.

The community evaluated the existing and future Muslim population in Germantown. The current Muslim population in Germantown has grown from a few families to more than 250; and continues to grow rapidly (Al Hamd'ullah). There are no other Islamic centers or religious facilities in the immediate vicinity. Islam is a universal religion and should be practiced in every corner of the world. The Muslim community in Germantown is committed to building this mosque. The Islamic Society of Germantown has been incorporated in the state of Maryland. It is performing the essential Islamic activities including Jumah prayers, Taraweh, Halaqa (Islamic lectures). Other activities include helping our needy brothers and sisters financially and morally.
The community is enthusiastically working on various projects towards the establishment of this mosque in the Germantown. Insha'Allah, the establishment of the Islamic Society of Germantown will take place in the near future. Currently, there is a great need for your support so to make this project a reality. Every Muslim has the responsibility to come forward and support this cause.
